Description: If you are looking for a true boutique fitness experience in your own home then Romney Studios Streaming is for you! Based in the quintessential neighborhood of uptown New Orleans, their online platform offers just about everything you would experience as if you were actually in studio. The app provides hundreds of on demand videos and curated classes like Pulse, Pump, Bosu, Bounce, Ride, Mat Pilates, Yoga, Reformer, Megaformer and the option to filter classes by type, length, difficulty level, muscle or body part you want to target, and required equipment allowing you to tailor your workouts to what works best for you.

Romney streaming is unique in that the majority of their videos are in studio classes filmed with other members who also took that class so you truly feel like part of a community. This evergrowing online platform is simple to use, seamless, and the perfect way to get a sweat in making your home workout regimen that much more accessible!

*Because we did not have access to home equipment like bikes, trampolines, bosu balls, and reformer/megaformer machines we were only able to participate in and review Pulse, Pump, Mat Pilates, and Yoga classes.

Overall Vibe: Romney streaming is all about “higher vibrations” (as they like to say) and radiates a sense of positivity and tranquility like no other. Their emphasis on community and providing a space to better yourself while simultaneously honoring your body manifests in every class and truly lifts you up.

Length: Varies based on class (ranges from 30 - 60 minutes) however, most classes are roughly 45-60 minutes.

Intensity: 6/10 – 10/10—varies based on class type and equipment but very doable for all levels. If you’re looking for low impact we recommend Pulse, Mat Pilates, and Yoga. For high impact we recommend Pump.

Sweat Level: 6/10 – 8/10—varies based on class type and length but if you’re looking for a good sweat and a serious booty burn we recommend Pulse and Pump.

Equipment: Pulse (no equipment is required however most classes use light hand and ankle weights ranging from 1-3 lbs, resistance bands are used less frequently) Pump (ranges from no equipment to 5-10 lb hand weights, resistance bands, bosu balls, and home props like a chair), Mat Pilates (yoga mat and blocks), Yoga (yoga mat and blocks).

*Although each class provides a recommended list of equipment, classes like Pulse and Pump have no requirements and workouts are equally as effective with simply using your body weight. Modifications are also provided throughout every class.

Pros: This is one of the few if any platforms we’ve come across that truly brings the boutique fitness experience to wherever you are. Most online platforms are created and marketed as having a private instructor in your home, and something we love about Romney streaming is that it feels like you are right there in studio taking your favorite class. The music playlist in each class is also unparalleled…their attention to detail is evident in each class and truly makes for a unique experience.

Cons: Although the app provides plenty of variety, classes like Pump, Mat Pilates and Yoga have fewer streaming options and most classes are on the longer side (45-60 mins). Audio and camera angle occasionally affected our ability to hear and see certain movements but despite these minor technicalities they are constantly improving and they are currently creating and adding shorter classes to their streaming library.

Is it worth it? We might have a slight bias but we can’t recommend this platform enough. After a month of just Romney streaming we’ve never felt as strong, lean, and confident in our bodies as we do now!
