Tropical Green Smoothie

PREP TIME: 2-3 MINS BLENDING TIME: 1-2 MINS TOTAL TIME: 5 MINS

SERVES 1

InGREDIENTS:

1 handful frozen pineapple

1 persian cucumber

1 celery stalk

1 small-medium sized banana (can substitute with zucchini if limiting fruit)

2-3 handfuls spinach

Juice of ½ lemon

4-5 mint leaves

1 slice of fresh ginger

1 tbsp chia seeds (can substitute flaxseeds or hemp seeds)

½ cup coconut water (can add more if needed for blending)

1 serving of collagen protein powder (any unflavored protein works)

DIRECTIONS:

  1. To make your smoothie, start by adding the coconut water to your blender followed by frozen pineapple (this ensures they are blended really well to create that smooth texture!)

  2. Add remaining ingredients to blender and blend on high for 1-2 minutes then serve!
